Different strategies for different hours

Raising children, disciplining them and homeschooling them takes different strategies for different hours.
One pastor said his job was “to comfort the afflicted and afflict the comforted.”
Sometimes our children need comforting, and seriously need a lot of it…and at other times they need pressure to actually do something (couched in inspiration of what the greats have done, along with their staggering results) to subdue their flesh, to help them overcome sloth and laziness.  God gave you discernment to know which to use when!  To use the wrong strategy is like handling butter and the dog. If you refrigerate the dog and take the butter for a walk you’re gonna be in trouble.  Study your children.
